Super Eagles player John Ogu called out by sister in-law for being a deadbeat dad

Super Eagles player John Ogu has been called on social media by his in-law and a concerned fan after he shared a photo of his daughter to wish her a happy Birthday.

The athlete who plays as a central midfielder for Isreali Premier League side, Hapoel Be'er Sheva has been accused of being a deadbeat dad. John had on Sunday shared a photo of his 2-year-old daughter Ivanna on Twitter to celebrate her, when his ex-wife's sister blasted him.

She accused him of pretending to love the little girl for the gram and revealed the footballer hadn't set eyes on his kid since he sent the child and her mom packing from their home in Israel last year. Mimi wrote:

But Daddy as in Nigeria 2-weeks-ago and didn't see his daughter! Oh I forgot, Daddy hasn't seen his daughter since he kicked her and her mom out of Israel LAST YEAR. You can do everything John but what you won't do is pretend like you're Ivanna's life for the gram.[SIC]

In the same vein, a follower blasted the player who is currently in Russia for the 2018 World Cup, after he shared a picture of Ivanna on Instagram. The concerned follower called him out for abandoning his child and admonished him to reconcile with his wife.

In May, news broke that Ogu and his ex-wife had gone their separate ways barely two years after they tied the knot. The couple who would usually openly display their love on Instagram unfollowed each other with the wife Vera Akaolisa reverting to her maiden name.
