Governor Godwin Obaseki pays condolence visit to fiancee of man pushed to his death by a police officer



Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, on Friday paid a condolence visit to the fiancee of the driver who was pushed in front of an oncoming truck days ago.

Recall that on the 6th of February, Emem Etto's Blog reported that a police officer pushed a man who didn't give him enough bribe, in front of an oncoming trailer at Upper Igun, along the Third-East Circular Road in Benin City. The man who has now been identified as David Okoniba man died instantly, after the truck crushed his head.

The sad incident caused an unrest in the Benin City. People took to the streets in protest.
Obaseki during his visit to the bereaved, promised justice will be served. He also announced that a N10 million trust fund has been set up for the deceased children.
