Landlord punches off tenant's teeth because he didn't greet him

Segun Abiodun, a Lagos landlord has landed in trouble after he punched off his tenant's teeth, simply because his tenant failed to greet him. Abiodun was before an Ikeja Magistrate Court on Wednesday, defending his action. According to NAN, he is being charged with assault.

The 45-year-old fashion designer, resident at 82 Capitol Road, Agege allegedly committed the crime on December 19, 2017.

Police inspector Raji Akeem told the court that, Abiodun, punched his tenant Titilayo Makanjuola's 17-year-old son, Sodiq Makajuola, after the teenager failed to greet him on the morning of the said day.

The accused beat up the boy and removed two of his teeth; he also threatened to beat up the mother when she reacted. When the police got to the landlord’s house to arrest him, we were told that he had travelled. 

Segun was finally arrested when he returned. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was granted bail of N50k. The case was then adjourned to February 9 for further mention.
