Playboy founder Hugh Hefner dies at 91

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is dead. The pioneer founder of the entertaining men's magazine succumbed to death on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the age of 91.

He is said to have died of natural causes. He died in his mansion where he had retired after a fulfilled life of party, business and women. Hefner was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 9, 1926. He became a millionaire after he founded the prestigious men's magazine in 1953. His death was announced on the official Twitter of Playboy.

American Icon and Playboy founder, Hugh M. Hefner passed away today. He was 91. #RIPHef", the message read. 
His son, Cooper Hefner confirmed his death in a statement, saying:
 My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom. 'He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history.
'He will be greatly missed by many, including his wife Crystal, my sister Christie and my brothers David and Marston, and all of us at Playboy Enterprises.' 

Heifner is survived by his third wife, Crystal Hefner, and four children Christie, Cooper, David and Marston.
