Man shares death threat he received from political thugs in Akwa Ibom State

Politics is Nigeria is still as deadly as ever. With 2019 around the corner, one can only pray they (politicians and their thugs) take things easy. Political thugs now openly challenge their opponents and sometimes, threaten them with death.

A Facebook user has narrated his experience with some political thugs in Akwa Ibom State. The user, Michael Bush took to his page to share a hand written note he received from youths of his ward, in Southern Uruan Ward 5, in Akwa Ibom State.

Today, at 9.42am, I received a phone call that tended to hint me of an impending attack on me where I stay in Uyo. The caller said he stumbled on a meeting where the decision was taken, he narrated.
Around noon, the receptionist handed me a poorly-addressed envelope containing, as you would see in the attachments hereunder, notifying me that youths of Southern Uruan Ward 5 had visited, plus -wait for it- death threats!
It didn't take him a while, to realise that the visit was because of the councillorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that held in the state on the 12th of September, 2017.
Putting two and two together, it's not hard to see that the scarecrowal is about the last councillorship primaries of my party, PDP. To be sure, I was not an agent nor a participant in the whole process.
Thankfully, they CCTV in the hotel where he stays picked up images of the thugs
God bless youths of Southern Uruan Ward 5. For those that came, whose faces the CCTV picked up, may God bless them even doubly, he wrote.
