Former President Jonathan takes a swipe at President Buhari over hate speech move

Look who is telling you guys "I told you so". Former Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, took a swipe at the President Buhari's led administration over the move to curb hate speech. President Jonathan took to his Facebook page to remind Nigerians what he foretold in his last days in office.

President Jonathan shared a Facebook post he wrote from 2 years ago while he was still in office. In the post, he promised Nigerians that they'd remember him for the freedom of speech they enjoyed in his days. He wrote:

I am the most abused and insulted President in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total ‘freedom’ you enjoyed under my Government.

Me thinks this is his way of telling Nigerians "Ntorrr" (you'll only understand this one if you live in Nigeria).

The post was in reaction to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo's speech about treating hate speech as terrorism. Recall also that days ago, the Military said it would be monitoring social media for anti-government comments.
