Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo confirms the arrival of his twins through a surrogate mother

Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo has finally confirmed the birth of his twins born via a surrogate mother in the United States of America.

The 32-year-old Portuguese player made the announcement shortly after Portugal was eliminated from the FIFA Confederation Cup following a penalty shoot-out defeat to Chile.

Ronaldo who already has a 7-year-old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr via a surrogate mother will be allowed to miss Portugal's third place play-off in other to return home to his family.

Confirming the birth on Facebook, Ronaldo wrote:

'I was in the service of the National Team, as it always happens, body and soul, even though I knew my two sons were born,' said Ronaldo, in the statement.
'Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve the main sporting objective we wanted, but I am sure we will continue to give the Portuguese joy.
'The President of the Portuguese Football Federation and the National Selector had an attitude today that sensitized me and I will not forget.
'I am very happy to finally be able to be with my children for the first time.'

That's not the end of the news, Ronaldo is expecting another child with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez who is rumoured to be 5 months gone.
