Karreuche Tran finally gets a 5-year-restraining order against Chris Brown

Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran has finally gotten a restraining order against him. Tran won the 5-year restraining order on Thursday after testifying under oath that the singer threatened to beat and kill her.

The 29-year-old took the witness stand in a Santa Monica courtroom, and said Brown threatened her after they broke up and demanded she return everything he gave her, during their time together, including the diamond rings.

According to TMZ, Karreuche said Chris became aggressive when she told him the gifts were her property.

Chris then sent her a text threatening her.

“I’m not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I’m there I will make you hate me even more, don’t be anywhere I’m out in public, I’m going to ban you from all events.”

“Bitch I will beat the shit out of you,” he reportedly threatened in another.

Brown who wasn't in court, attempted to join the hearing by phone but the judge refused.

During cross-examination, his lawyer David Gammil questioned why Tran never reported the numerous threats to the police.  Tran said she was scared for her life.

This is not the first time Tran would be getting a restraining order against her former lover of 5 years. Tran first received an emergency stay-away order last February, after claiming the father of one punched her in the stomach twice and pushed her down stairs during their relationship.

The couple dated on and off from 2011 to 2015.
