Another petrol tanker spotted spilling fuel on the road in Lagos



Another disaster has been averted after a petrol laden tanker was spotted spilling its content on the highway in Lagos. The leaking tanker was spotted this morning at Moshalashi Bus stop/roundaout in Ipaja.

According to The Nation, an official of the Lagos State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) who pleaded anonymity, said the driver was forced to stop when the fuel started leaking.



Officials of the Lagos Neighborhood and Security Corps (LNSC), LASTMA, Lagos Response Unit (LRU), Nigerian Police and Lagos State Fire Service had to wait around, for the content of the tanker to be trans loaded to another vehicle before final evacuation of the damaged tanker.

This is coming days after a fuel laden tanker caught fire on Otedola bridge in Lagos, killing at least 12 people and burning 54 cars.
