Guests at Vice President Yemi Osinbajo's daughters wedding, barred from taking photos of the couple

Guests at Professor Yemi Osinbajo's daughter's wedding were not allowed to take photos of the couple at the ceremony. The wedding held yesterday at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja, while the reception was at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to several reports, people who attended the wedding ceremony between Nigeria's Vice President's daughter, Oludamilola Osinbajo and Seun Bakare, son of billionaire businesswoman Bola Shagaya, were ordered to leave their phones in their car. Security personnel at the event ensured that attendees obeyed the instruction to the latter.

Also, journalists weren't allowed to cover the event. They were restricted to filming only the entry and departure of the couple.
The Vice President's media team had earlier sent a message intimating them of their decision to be the only team in charge of photography at the event. They however  promised to “share information and images — still and video — of the events later in the day.”

Media cameras will not be required and therefore not welcomed in today's (Saturday's) events both in church and the reception, their statement read. Please accept our request and need for an entirely PRIVATE event. Cameras are however welcome to record the arrival and departure formalities at the church,” the statement added.
