We are in Air Peace right now due to security issues. While we were waiting to take off, someone opened the cargo. We are not certain if the fellow dropped or picked something. Anti Bomb squad are on groud.
Well done to the captain @adesola82 , staff and crew of Air peace. Airline operators should be vigilant and work with NCAA to make our airports save for us. Though the delay affected our schedule but the wait was worth it because security is key.
Air Peace communications manager, Chris Iwarah confirmed the incident in a statement released to the press. He said the incident which occurred at about 7: 35pm on Runway 18 was easily sorted out after the pilot noticed from the light on the cockpit that the cargo hold had been opened.
