Fulani herdsmen and their cattle block entrance of Ministry of Finance, Abuja

Cattle in Nigeria have become so brave they now live anywhere, but the bush. This morning, a herd of cattle stormed the Ministry of Finance, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, blocking the entrance.  The cattle were filmed roaming the complex unchecked.

It is no longer news that Fulani herdsmen and their cattle no longer stay in the bush. Last year, they invaded Ohovbe Primary School Ikpoba, in Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, during school hours, chasing pupils and teachers away.

In 2016, they also invaded the runaway at Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, forcing the pilot to abort landing. A report on Vanguard at the time stated that the pilot of the Air Peace flight hovered for a long while until the runway was cleared before landing.

Photo of the wandering cattle which have since gone viral have drawn criticisms from social media user. Many users condemned Nigerian security agencies for failing to control the herdsmen atrocities.
