H&M under fire for using black model to advertise 'Coolest Monkey in the Jungle' hoodie

H&M is facing severe backlash online after they released a controversial advert for children's top. The high street clothing giant came under fire after advertising a green hooded top on its UK and US websites.
In the advert, a black boy is seen modelling a green hooded top, emblazoned with the phrase "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle".

People took to social media to call for a boycott of the brand. H&M in a bid to save their brand took down the image from their website but are still selling the hoodies in their stores.

It is not yet known whether H&M were intentionally being racist seeing that "monkey" is a popular racial slur or devised that means for publicity. Either way, this is bad for their brand, totally unacceptable.
