Armed robbers storm Mr Ibu's house, cart away N9 million worth of jewelries and N1 million cash

Oh dear... Nollywood actor Mr Ibu and his family were robbed, in the wee hours of January 4th. The comic actor narrated the sad event that took place at his Ikate residence in Lagos, on the first week of the new year to LIB.

He said armed robbers stormed his house at 3am while his wife, children and in-laws were sleeping. They carted away expensive jewelries and wrist watches worth at  least N9 million and N1 million in cash. Luckily, they didn't hurt anyone.

My wife, children and in-law were sleeping when the robbers attacked. According to my wife, they came in around 3am. They broke the doors and gained entrance inside the house. They were asking where is Mr Ibu. Maybe they planned to come and kill me but I was not there. They carted away N1 million cash that was meant for renovations being done in my house, my expensive watches. Four out of the 12 watches that were stolen cost N8 million because they were N2 million each gold watches that somebody bought for me.The others were N500,000, N400,000 N300, 000  watches. I love big watches. My wife's gold and other jewelries were also stolen. They also stole four phones that I left in the house. Thankfully, they did not injure anyone of them. Some arrests have been made. Coincidentally, my neighbour who had installed CCTV caught the face of two of the robbers and among those that have been arrested, two of the suspects are in there'' he said.
