'She is free now' - Ooni of Ife allegedly declares as he receives bride price from Olori Wuraola's family

Looks like things have finally been laid to rest between Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his estranged wife Olori Wuraola.

According to a report by Kemi Ashefon, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has been refunded the token he paid as bride price to Olori Wuraola's parents.

The report however said the revered monarch was reluctant to collect the brideprice, but was prevailed upon by elders who advised he opts for peace.

Recall that Ooni of Ife's marriage to Olori Wuraola that was contracted in March 2016, packed up in August 2017, barely 17 months after.
The real cause of the separation hasn't been revealed but several reports from the Oba's camp linked it to infidelity, while those from the Queen's side say the Oba's three sisters (Yeye sisters) were responsible for the breakup.
Either way, there was a breakup and now Oba Ogunwusi has reportedly received the brideprice. He was quoted to have declared her free after the refund.
She is free now, she is free now,  he reportedly said.
According to the source, returning the brideprice was imperative as it holds a meaningful value in the Yoruba tradition, even though it was just a token.
When a bride price is returned, the man no longer have ties or right over the woman in question, and they ca only see themselves afterwards as friends if they so desire, the source said.
